I have been nominated by my focal point, does that mean that I will be selected for the meeting or as an author?

Nomination does not guarantee selection. The number of nominations received is generally much higher than the total number of experts/authors who can be selected. Hence, there is a rigorous process to select the authors based on the nomination.
